As you know, COVID-19 is now an integral part of our daily lives and unfortunately, we have to live with it for some time yet. The virus is now 1 year old and customers are now knowingly renting cabins.
What is the cancellation policy if access to the chalet is allowed but not recommended?
A cancellation made more than 30 days before the rental date will result in the loss of the 30% deposit as damages. A refund corresponding to 70% of the total cost of the contract will be returned to you only if we are able to re-let the period corresponding to the dates of your stay. In other words, if we have not been able to re-let the period originally booked, then the full payment will be retained by the owners.
What is the cancellation policy if access to the chalet is prohibited?
Tenants will be able to obtain a credit applicable to a future rental in the event of a ban on staying in tourist accommodation establishments. In other words, in the event that the government prohibits access to our establishments, tenants will obtain a credit applicable on their next rental in the same chalet within 18 months.
What are the rules for chalet rentals?
The rules in rental cabins are the same as at your primary residence. It is not recommended to go to shops or restaurants in an area other than your own. Isolation at the chalet and the outdoors are allowed. So, if you come from another administrative region, be sure to make your purchases (i.e., groceries) before your arrival in the chalet region.
What happens if my reservation does not respect the current color code?
It will be your responsibility to adjust the size of the group in order to respect the color code and to respect the rules issued by the government in effect during your stay.
We recommends that you make your reservations by respecting the rules of the red zone, so you will be sure to respect the conditions regardless of the color code in place at the time of your stay.

What are the payment steps and payment methods accepted?
Payment is made by Interac transfer or bank transfer in 3 easy steps.
Step 1 A 30% reservation deposit is required to reserve the dates of your stay at the selected chalet.
Step 2 The balance of your rental must be paid 30 days before your arrival at the chalet. An automated email will be sent to you as a reminder when payment is due. For any reservation made within 30 days of the occupancy date, the total amount of the reservation will be required at the time of reservation.
Step 3 The security deposit is payable before your arrival at the chalet, you will receive your chalet access code upon receipt of this deposit.
When will the information regarding entry into the chalet be communicated to me?
When your reservation is confirmed, our system will trigger an e-mail suite containing the relevant information for your stay at the chalet. In particular, information regarding entry into the chalet will be sent to you 5 days before your arrival. (i.e., if your rental is Friday 5:00 p.m., you will receive the detail on Sunday)
Payments
What is the reservation deposit?
The reservation deposit is the sum to be paid by the tenant when booking the chalet. It is equivalent to 30% of the total cost of the reservation. This step allows you to block the rental dates for your single reservation.
For any reservation made within 30 days of the occupancy date, the total amount of the reservation will be required at the time of reservation.
What does the balance to pay consist of?
This is the balance of the rental to be paid 30 days before your arrival at the chalet. It is equivalent to 70% of the total rental cost.
Please note: The full amount must be paid if the reservation is made within a period of less than 30 days.
How does the security deposit work?
The security deposit must be sent prior to arrival at the chalet.
It will be returned to you within 5 working days of your departure. This period is put in place to allow the maintenance team to check the condition of the premises.
In the event of breakage or non-compliance with the instructions, the value of the damage will be deducted from this amount.
What are the applicable taxes for the rental of a chalet?
Here are the applicable taxes:
GST 5%
QST 9.975%
CITQ 3.5% (lodging tax)
Rental policies and conditions
What are the chalet occupancy policies?
The tenant must leave the premises in the same condition as on arrival. Additional costs for cleaning and spa maintenance may be retained if the instructions for cleanliness and use are not respected.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside a chalet. In case of reasonable doubt, the security deposit will be fully withheld and returned to the owner in damages.
The number of occupants and the departure time displayed on the contract must be respected at all times. In the event of late departure or exceeding the maximum number of occupants displayed on the rental contract, the tenant agrees to revise the rental price in accordance with the pricing in force. Gestion Natura may then automatically withhold the price difference from the security deposit, without prejudice to its other rights.
Failure to respect the maximum number of people authorized on the premises (10 people) will result in the end of the stay and the loss of the full amount of the security deposit.
What are the payment policies?

- BalanceThe remaining balance, or 70% of the rental cost, must be paid 30 days before your arrival date.Please note: If your reservation is made within a period of less than 30 days, the total amount of the reservation as well as the deposit will be required at the time of reservation.
- Guarantee / security depositA security deposit of a minimum of $ 1000 is requested before your arrival at the chalet in the event of breakage or damage. In the event of a minor breakage, an amount equivalent to the value of the breakage or damage will be charged if necessary. The deposit can be higher than the above amount, if the owner requests it.
What is the cancellation policy for a reservation?
If the cancellation notice is received more than 30 days before the start date of the stay, this will result in the loss of the deposit of 30% as damages.
If the cancellation is made less than 30 days before the occupancy date, a refund corresponding to 70% of the total cost of the contract will be returned to you only if we are able to re-let the period corresponding to the dates of your stay. In such a situation, an administrative fee of 10% of the value of the stay, for a minimum of $ 75, will be retained. If we have not been able to re-let the period originally booked, then the full payment will be retained by the owners.
Stay postponement policy?
No postponement of stay is possible within 30 days of the date of arrival at the chalet.
It is possible to postpone your stay once, an administrative fee of 15% of the value of the stay, for a minimum of $ 75, will be retained. A rate adjustment will be made based on the rates in effect for the new dates requested. The maximum period for a postponement of stay is 12 months.
What happens in the event of breakage and damage to the chalet?
In the event of a major breakage in the chalet or a situation making it impossible to occupy the house, the tenant will be reimbursed 100% or relocated to an equivalent chalet, depending on availability. No additional amount will be granted to the tenant.
In the event of breakage or damage occurring during the rental of the chalet by the tenant, the latter is required to notify Gestion Natura. In the event of major doubt or confirmation of the tenant’s responsibility, the security deposit will be partially or fully withheld and returned to the owner to compensate him.

What are the arrival and departure times?
Arrival time: from 5:00 p.m.
Departure time: before 11:00 a.m.
Failure to respect the departure time will incur additional charges.
What to do when we arrive at the chalet?
When you arrive at the chalet, it is important to verify, sign and send us the “check in” document by photo via email or SMS. You will receive a welcome call from Benoit to briefly explain how certain elements of the chalet work and answer your questions.
Is the spa functional in winter?
The spa is functional all year round!
Can we bring our pet?
No animals are allowed on the site and in the cabins.
Many of our customers suffer from allergies and it is to protect them that we refuse animals.
We also want to maintain the tranquility, cleanliness and quality of our facilities.
How far are you from Montreal?
We are located 1h15 from Montreal.
Can we swim in the lake?
Lac Ouareau is a magnificent 15 km2 navigable lake and the water is impeccable. The dock is perfect for swimming. You can also swim at the municipal beach located less than 8 minutes from the chalets.
Should we bring our life jackets?
A few seat belts are available at the chalet (2 for children from 60 to 90 lbs, 2 adult mediums and 2 large adults). However, it is your responsibility to make sure you bring any additional seat belts needed for your entire group. Among others, for young children.
